Pattern-based:
I repeated the eye and added various brushes to create a texture. I also explored more with layer mask, blending tools, and colors. The vertical paint brush pattern in the center is a reflection of the hair texture in the original image. Therefore, a section of those vertical brushes are a faded image of Twiggy's face and hair. I did this to connect the use of brushes and image. My goal for this image is that you do not see the original photograph when you glance but as you study, you discover the manipulation and repeated elements that may be hidden.
